Just Who on Earth is That??

I'm horrified this afternoon to log on my own blogsite to find that an unidentified "person" has left a comment on one of my entries. It read like this:

Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my site, it is about the CresceNet, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://www.provedorcrescenet.com . A hug.

Though it's not a harmful message, I had no intention of letting anyone I don't know in to my blogsite. The so called "CresceNet" does not look like a personal website and I can't understand anything there at all because it's in foreign language. I wonder how that comment came about. Is it some sort of prank, or an auto-generated advertising message? Has security to my blogsite been breached? If anyone of you can shed some light and help me out here, please let me know! Thanks!

Not Very Clear......

I went for my post-surgery eye checkup at Singapore National Eye Centre on Friday morning. My surgeon wanted to check my eyes again to see if my degrees have stabilized and let me decide if I want to proceed with an enhancement Lasik surgery.

I was all ready to go through the surgery again, but alas! he said that it's not advisable for me to do now that I'm pregnant! According to him, my degrees could fluctuate given the hormonal changes to my body and the likely physical changes to my eyes (eye balls) etc. It's better to do the enhancement surgery after I deliver.

Sigh..... Would I have time to be 'down' for a few days when I'm busy taking care of an infant? But guess I just have to go with the surgeon's advice and postpone the surgery, if I want to get the myopic correction right one last time. Meanwhile, I'll live with the slightly blur vision lor.

New Member of the Family!

This entry is 2 weeks late, but well, you know my excuse. I want to introduce the latest addition to the family - my new niece! My sister delivered in the afternoon of New Year's Eve (aiya.... should wait for half more day, perhaps can be the first baby of 2008!).


Isn't she a fine baby? Jojo, or, the actual name, Jewelyn was born 2 weeks before due date. My sis initially wanted to name her Joelle (which is a nice follow-on to her elder son's name Joshua), and thus the short name Jojo had been called while baby was still in the tummy. However, when the evil Auntie (i.e. me) learnt about it, I violently objected to the use of that name because my other name is Joel! (Uh, as to why I have another name, that's another story.) How can niece have a name that's the same as Auntie??!! As usual, my sis gave in to me. Sorry Jo!

My sis delivered at Thomson Medical Centre. My mom was extremely impressed that an ang-moh hospital would serve traditional Chinese foods like red-wine chicken broth mee-suah for lunch and black chicken soup etc. I caught her taking a sip of my sis' left-over lunch. Well, she did ask for permission to try the food to satisfy her curiosity about what the hospital knows about Chinese confinement food and how they taste. Isn't my mom cute!
